2. Recommended Sizing (Letters & Logos)

  • Viewing distance vs. letter height table:
    • 1” letter → readable at ~10 ft
    • 2” letter → ~20 ft
    • 3” letter → ~30 ft
    • 6” letter → ~60 ft
    • General rule: 1” of letter height for every 10 ft of viewing distance.
  • Add sample diagrams (logo on wall with distance markers).

3. Material Options

  • Metals: Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Stainless, Copper (durability + prestige).
  • Acrylics: Custom colors, translucent options, lightweight.
  • Stone/Wood: Natural, timeless look.
  • Laminates: Real metal and acrylic finishes without heavy weight; never foam or PVC.
  • Pros/cons chart for each material.

4. Finish Options

  • Brushed

  • Painted (custom Pantone/RAL match)

5. Mounting Methods

  • Flush mount (letters fixed directly to wall).
  • Stud mount (letters on spacers for shadow depth).

6. ADA / Wayfinding Considerations

  • Contrast ratio minimums (70% recommended).
  • Sans-serif fonts for legibility.

In order to create a conceptual design for your interior sign, please follow these guidelines:

  • For the photos, try to take them straight on, and as far back as possible.
  • We would like to see what your clients would see when they are looking at the sign, so desks, and furniture are helpful in the pictures.
  • Tape a standard sheet of letter size paper where you envision the sign to be, and we will use that for scaling the sign.
